2024 Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service of Remembrance

Remembrance Sunday this year is 10th November 2024. Arrangements for this year are mainly the same as in previous years (but please see important note below) and are as follows:

Parade Members - Meet at 2pm outside the Salvation Army - Hartford Road West, Bedlington.

Important Note and a change from previous years – Parade Members who will also lay a wreath please make yourself known to the volunteer wearing a hi viz vest who will provide you with a “place card” which will coordinate with your allocated waiting position at the War Memorial and provide an indication of when it is your turn to lay your wreath. Another volunteer will meet you at the end of the parade and help direct you to your appropriate waiting position at the foot of the War Memorial.

The parade will leave at 2.15pm and the service will start at 2.30pm at the War Memorial on Front Street, Bedlington.

Anyone not participating in the parade but wanting to lay a wreath should assemble at the steps leading to the War Memorial at 2.15pm. Please make yourself known to the volunteer wearing a hi viz vest who will direct you to your waiting position and indicate when it is your turn to lay your wreath.
