West Bedlington Town Council was formed in 2009 to provide Services at the most local level of government.
The very local services that the Council provides are governed by the Councils own Services Committee.
The Services Committee generally meets monthly (usually on the fourth Thursday of each month at Bedlington Community Centre starting at 6.30pm) the Committee meeting is open to the public.
The Services Committee administer and govern the following services on behalf of the full West Bedlington Town Council.
The Council is the owner of two allotment plots within West Bedlington.
Both allotment sites are self managed by their respective allotment association, who look after the day to day maintenance and management of the allotments, including the allocation of vacant plots and the administration of any waiting lists.

The Council provides and maintains 28 bus shelters within West Bedlington.

If you would like to report a problem with an existing bus shelter or request a new bus shelter please contact us – each existing bus shelter should have an asset number label displayed upon it to help identify its location.
The cleaning and sweeping of bus shelters is undertaken monthly on our behalf by Northumberland County Council under a Service Level Agreement.
The Council provides and maintains three Childrens Play Areas within West Bedlington at Meadowdale, 20 Acres (Church Lane) and Westlea.
Westlea play area is unlocked and available for use at all times.
Meadowdale play area has locked gates to prevent unwanted vandalism and anti social behavior.
The gates are open from 8.00am to 6.00pm during the summer months and daylight hours during the winter months.
If you find the gates locked at a time it should be open or you are unsure as to when the play area will next open please contact us for further information.
